The Process

Determining your operational bottlenecks and lack of transparent data you can trust is the first step before your manufacturing company's giant leap forward.

Initial Engagement to understand your business

THE REALITY MAP

With your interest, I conduct a short interview with stakeholders to understand your business, market, operational processes, and suppliers along with the technologies you leverage to support it.

After a basic discovery, I will run a short business-first assessment of your current digital state to determine if it fits your processes and roadmap. I will identify where information friction, decision latency, and cross-functional disconnect is quietly costing the business time, money, and momentum when compared to best practices.

Collaborate openly about misalignment

THE SCORECARD

I will look at areas or workflows to assess scoring based off what should be expected versus what is reality.

This could be areas of sales vs ops, inventory vs forecast, supplier promises vs delivered, software capabilities vs how people really need to work, and your ideal destination vs the road you are on currently.

This isn’t tech talk, this will be business first truth.

I will present a prioritized view of what actually needs to change, what should not be touched yet, how you can prepare, and how certain digital initiatives or solutions can bring about positive change.

This walk through will include any recommendations on best practice, an unaffiliated platform, or a non-pervasive solution to sit in between a bottleneck or non-operable workflow.

Deliver with Confidence

PRIORITY: DO THIS, NOT THAT

My primary focus is to independently help uncover what can enhance the needs of the business, NOT sell your 17th software program to log into or secretly generate leads for other software providers. I am very much anti that approach and unaffiliated with any firm or platform.

The goal is met when my clients use my work to move forward confidently or leverage it to slow down and avoid mistakes. Both of those outcomes are wins and neither should require an outrageous fee that you’ll get from large consultancies who only speak IT, just someone with a commonsense approach that has experienced both sides of the problem.

Offline processes can be effectively captured and enriched digitally for use in operational decision making.
Trust in your data starts with the source, established through governance, and standardized for sharing across departments.
Traditional manufacturing backed with legacy systems has a narrow, but clear path towards digital innovation.
Syncing data across your manufacturing company so all departments are interoperable and consistently transparent ensures everyone is working together.
Operational efficiency is achieved when all departments from supply chain, design, operations, product, sales, distribution, logistics, and quality all work with the same unified data that's enriched for each workflow.
